The San Diego County Fair is here! The Fair opens today Saturday, June 7 and will be open through Sunday, July 6 (closed Mondays and the first two Tuesdays).

This year the fair is celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' first visit to the United States, sparking the British Invasion in music and pop culture, influencing even today's musicians.

The fair always represented the beginning of Summer in my family and features attractions, rides, live music, animals, shopping and of course all that crazy food! While I usually do not order the fried chocolate covered Twinkies there are tons of fair fare (pun intended) at this event for the whole family.
